Numbered 18-foot flags will be placed throughout the park. Choose one as your team’s meeting point and share the number with your group.

Backpacks, wagons, and strollers are allowed.

A limited number of picnic tables are available throughout the park and on the basketball courts. Arrive early if your team would like to use one.

Because of the closures of San Vicente Blvd. (above Melrose Ave.) and Santa Monica Blvd. (between La Cienega Blvd. and Doheny Dr.) for this event, there will be limited parking close to West Hollywood Park. To avoid traffic and parking delays, event participants are encouraged to use alternative modes of transportation such as ride sharing services or Metro.

The Pacific Design Center (PDC) has the largest number of available paid parking spaces adjacent to West Hollywood Park. You can only enter the PDC parking lot for this event using the entrance on the north side of Melrose Ave. between North Huntley Dr. and San Vicente Blvd. The closest GPS address to this entrance is: 8629 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood 90069. PLEASE NOTE that the San Vicente Blvd entrance to the Pacific Design Center will be closed for the duration of this event.

The Opening Ceremony will begin at 10:30 AM, and AIDS Walk will hit the street at 11:15 AM!

Visit the Donations booth to turn in cash or checks or to make a credit card donation. Registered walkers may pick up a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last. Participants who raise $100 or more may also collect their commemorative pin at the Incentives tent.

Registration remains open online before the event, but on-site registration will not be available. The fundraising deadline is Friday, November 13. Donations may also be turned in at the Donations booth on Walk day.

Funds raised support APLA Health’s HIV care, prevention, food, housing, and support services across Los Angeles County.

Water and snacks will be available in the park and along the route. Food trucks will also be located near the north end of the park, with additional restaurants nearby.

Yes, West Hollywood Park has bike parking available. We are unable to provide additional bike parking than what is available in the park already.

Yes, all ages are welcome! We ask that you prepare to protect your child’s hearing at the Walk, as our stage will be loud. The West Hollywood Park playground will be open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18th.

Yes, dogs are welcome! Bring water, treats, and waste bags, and protect your pet’s paws if the pavement is warm. The West Hollywood Dog Park will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on October 18.

Registering means joining AIDS Walk Los Angeles as a participant and being counted among those supporting the fight against HIV. Most registered participants also fundraise and complete the walk route.

Volunteers help with event-day activities such as distributing water, supporting walkers, and assisting with cleanup. You do not need to register as a walker to volunteer.

Both walking and volunteering may qualify for community-service hours. Complete the Volunteer Registration Form by October 7.

AIDS Walk Los Angeles is a community fundraiser organized by APLA Health. Funds raised support HIV care and prevention, LGBTQ+ healthcare, sexual health services, food, housing, support for people with HIV, and local community partners.

We provide affirming healthcare, HIV specialty care, food, housing, and support services to underserved communities. Formerly AIDS Project Los Angeles, we’ve supported people affected by HIV/AIDS since 1983.

AIDS Walk Los Angeles donations go to support APLA Health’s vital services for over 23,000 people throughout Los Angeles County. Unlike grant funding that must be used for designated purposes, your donations give us flexibility to meet urgent community needs quickly.

No, there’s no fundraising minimum. We welcome everyone to join us to help raise awareness that the HIV/AIDS epidemic is not over.

All walkers get a commemorative T-shirt at the park, while supplies last. Raise $1,000+ to receive a Star Walker shirt—mailed early if you qualify by September 20, or available at the Incentives tent on Walk day.

2. Specify where it should be credited—to you, your team, or the general event.

Checks may take up to two weeks to appear in your fundraising total.

Yes. APLA Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax ID: 84-1661910. No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations.

Yes. Online donors receive an automatic email receipt.
Donating by cash or check? Contact us at aidswalkla@aplahealth.org to request one.

Online donations are safest and easiest. If you meet someone collecting in person:

• Check that they’re a registered walker or team via our website.
• If anything feels off, contact us for guidance.

Some employers will match your donation 1:1—doubling your impact. Ask your company or HR department. You can also ask friends or family to match your donations as a mini-challenge.

Raise $1,000 or more and you’ll join this group of outstanding fundraisers.

Benefits include:
