Thank you for your interest in volunteering for AIDS Walk Los Angeles!
The difference between
volunteering with our event and
walking with our event is a matter of what activity you choose to do on October 16th.
Volunteering includes: passing out water, picking up trash, encouraging people along the route, and other logistics! You
do not need to register for AIDS Walk to volunteer, though we appreciate when you do! To register, please visit
aidswalkla.org.
Registering means being counted: we can say for certain how many people register each year to show their support for people affected by HIV/AIDS; we cannot say for certain how many people show up on October 16th. Most people who register for AWLA choose to fundraise and then walk our route. Some who cannot complete the route will choose to register/fundraise and then volunteer on the day of instead.
Both can fulfill community service hours! If you are interested in volunteering specifically (i.e. not walking the route but providing assistance on October 16th), please fill out the form below. This year we have 170 slots available for volunteering, and they will fill up fast!
If you are volunteering with a group, please note: every individual will need to fill out this form with their individual contact information in order to volunteer. Team captains should only fill out this form for themselves, and direct their team to fill this form out individually.
If you are bringing a bus for your volunteers, please complete this next form by noon on October 5th: aidswalkla.org/bus All volunteer shifts begin at 7:30am on October 16th and go until 12:30pm (5 hrs total). More logistic information will be sent to you the week of the Walk.
