Employee Matching Programs
Matching gift programs are a great way to double your fundraising for AIDS Walk Los Angeles! Many companies will match your contribution dollar for dollar, and some will even match charitable contributions made by spouses.

Problems with employer matching programs? (NEW)
Have you tried to initiate an employee gift or submit an employer match? Did you get a notice that APLA Health “is not in good standing” with the State of California? If so, we ask you to please be patient.
Nonprofit organizations in California must renew their fundraising licenses annually with the state attorney general. We submitted ours in April—two months early!—but the Charitable Trust Office applied our payment to the wrong account. We weren’t notified of the problem until we started getting rejection notices from employer gift plans in August. We’re doing everything we can to set things straight and get our payment applied correctly, but email is the only contact option, and they warn that replies can take one to three months.
Please help us help people with HIV by holding your rejected employer gift applications for just a little longer. As soon as the state corrects our payment and registration status, we will let everyone know right away.
Also, please note! This does not affect donations by check, credit card, PayPal, or cash. Only bank transfers from employee giving plans are on hold for now. Thank you for understanding!
What are employee matching gift programs?
An easy way to double or even triple your impact! Participating companies match the donations made by employees to eligible nonprofits like AIDS Walk Los Angeles.
How do I get my employer to match my donation?
Simply request a matching gift by filling out a paper form from your company, or submitting an online form. The process shouldn’t take longer than five minutes.

How does the search tool work?
Our tool is called Double the Donation. Enter the name of your employer to see company-specific information. If anything is incorrect or incomplete, email Double the Donation at data@doublethedonation.com
Can I make a donation to specific APLA Health programs?
Yes! In addition to a general donation to AIDS Walk Los Angeles, you can also have your gift matched in support of APLA Health programs like Vance North Necessities of Life Program, HIV-Elders, and more.
