Race to the Finish
We’re only 10 days away from AIDS Walk Los Angeles. You still have plenty of time to boost your fundraising numbers and help end the epidemic. Just think in increments!
With $100 – that’s only $10 a day – you will help pay for a counseling session at APLA Health for someone who has no one else to talk to. For $150 – $15 a day – you will help pay for 150 safer sex kits to help stop the spread of HIV. For $1,000 – $100 a day – you can provide 20 dental checkups to restore clients’ smiles.
Push yourself to the fundraising finish line, and we’ll see you in Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles on October 20.
Team Meet Up
We’re dropping our qualifications for a team meeting station to 20 registered team members! We’re also extending our deadline to TOMORROW at 5 p.m. If your team is eligible for a team meeting station, you’ll receive an email next week with more information including where to meet.
Drive-On Forms
If your team is eligible for a team meeting station, you’ll also have the opportunity to drive-on and drop off your items. Drive-On passes are only valid for street closure access and cannot be used for parking. To take advantage of this service, please fill out our Drive-On Form. Plan to arrive between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. at the Temple and Spring intersection (remember Spring Street will be closed south of Temple). Please fill out the form by 5:00 p.m. October 15. Only teams who qualify for a station will be accepted.
You will need two people for this process: one person to drive and remove your car and a second to escort your stuff with AWLA staff to your booth. AWLA is not responsible for any items left unattended.
Parking Information
AIDS Walk Los Angeles takes place in Grand Park in DTLA. We recommend either taking the Metro Red or Purple Line to Civic Center or using Spot Hero to reserve a spot. If you raise $1,000 you’ll automatically become a Star Walker and receive a parking spot and access to our complimentary VIP breakfast. The deadline to receive free parking is Friday, October 11 at 5 p.m. Free parking cannot be issued on the day of the event.

October 20 – AIDS Walk Los Angeles – Raise $1,000 to be able to write your name directly on your Star Walker star on the day of the event.
November 15 – Fundraising deadline
